DescriptionWe are a custom molder and painter of plastic products and assemblies and a leading manufacturer of quality SMC compression molded and RIM processed components for the agricultural, industrial, construction, forestry and military markets. We are seeking a Compression Molding Process Engineer for our new facility located in Iowa therefore we strongly desire candidates who currently reside in the state of Iowa. You will be working with state of the art equipment with the largest compression molding equipment under one roof in the US.
Responsibilities include:
Working with production and quality to troubleshoot new operations on a line
Ensure machinery is running properly, tools changed correctly, production objectives achieved and workers are trained to run efficient operations
Work with process development team to launch new products
Improving cycle times and reducing scrap
Requirements
BS in ME or MET or similar degree or equivalent operational experience
5+ years in process engineering with at least half of this experience in compression molding
Experience in continuous improvement
Experience with SMC material preferred
Knowledge of secondary processing activities such as routing, water jets, drilling both automatic and manual, CNC routers
