DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY Responsible for managing key projects in product development with new customers. This position works closely with both Design Engineering and Operations to successfully launch new products. You will be involved in cross-functional teams, and will interface with customers, outside vendors and agencies to ensure new products (and product improvements) meet customer expectations, physical performance criteria, and agency regulations (when applicable). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Work closely with Design Engineers to identify appropriate materials and tooling to successfully launch new products into manufacturing • Create solutions to existing product performance opportunities and generate product performance improvements. • Utilize CAD skills to design fixtures and so forth. • Utilize sound project management skills to ensure projects are successfully completed on time and within Budget • Assist in conducting plant trials, build prototypes, etc. during product development phases • Work with outside/3rd party listing agencies to ensure products are in compliance with requirements. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Polymer Science, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar. • 5 years engineering and project management experience in plastics, with strong knowledge of various polymers, their physical properties, and practical applications. • 3 years of polymer extruded profile product development experience with a company that manufactures these products versus someone that purchases these products (required). • 5 years of project management experience in product development. • CAD
