A leader in the manufacturing of aluminum extrusions is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for one of their mid-south locations.
CHALLENGES
** Work in a facility with 400 employees
** Actively lead/participate in Lean Six Sigma and other improvement project teams
** Serve as a member of the plant senior management team, leading & coaching quality department personnel and operational staff
** Maintain a collaborative perspective and proactive approach to meet quality & production goals, reduce costs, eliminate waste, manage employee well-being and guarantee customer satisfaction
** Work directly with the customer, maintaining excellent customer relations with skills in problem solving and a desire to improve the customer experience
QUALIFICATIONS
** BS degree in Engineering or technical equivalent (all degrees are validated)
** Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership quality assurance management role in an aluminum extrusion manufacturing environment
** Knowledge and work experience in using Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools, hands-on experience with Six Sigma projects preferred.
** Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Power Point and statistical analysis
** Ability to act with a sense of urgency, be decisive and to work cooperatively with management, employees and customers
** Occasional overnight travel required
