Production Supervisor – Blown Film SUMMARY: My client is industry-leading manufacturer of extruded and converted blown film products. As Production Supervisor in the extrusion department, you will be responsible to ensure an open positive work environment that promotes team success. Your primary responsibilities will include safety, quality, productivity and process improvement. You will be the change agent in this fast paced, ever-evolving and challenging environment. This is a 24/7 operation with 12 hour shifts. Production Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities: • Create a culture that promotes safety as a top priority. • Drive continuous improvement, and constantly evaluates productivity and the current staff to optimize production efficiency. • Responsible for development, training and coaching of staff, sets individual and team goals for staff, and provides continuous feedback. ‘ • Responsible for all facets of the blown film department for the assigned shift. • Responsible for fulfilling the production schedule and achieving shift goals (productivity, scrap, etc.). • The Production Supervisor will conduct timely annual reviews and evaluations of staff. Production Supervisor Required Education and Experience: • 5 years experience of production supervision in a blown film extrusion environment, with hands-on knowledge in blown film production. • 3 years experience at Production Supervisor Level. • Prefers experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen (Toyota Production System), and 5-S in a manufacturing environment. • The Production Supervisor must have proven ability to set goals and hold the team accountable to achieve these goals. Must have excellent communication skills, and must take responsibility for their actions. • Bi-lingual Spanish is a huge benefit • Computer skills include MS Office applications
