My client is a leading manufacturer of high quality plastic packaging products. They have been in business for over four decades and have multiple production facilities throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. More importantly they have several divisions like rigid packaging, flexible packaging and machinery. By being so versatile it has allowed them to be very successful and continue to grow rapidly. You will know their products well as they one of the key players in recognized products we use every day! They recently invested millions of dollars into expanding their rigid division which has allowed for more sales, more production, and more jobs. Your role with the company will be to provide direction and a strategic approach in the areas of training and development and organizational learning. You will identify training gaps throughout the workforce in safety, quality, technical, and administrative areas and develop, implement, and evaluate programs to ensure they are supporting company goals and help foster future growth! You will partner with managers from all departments, provide guidance on training and meetings and may serve as instructor or help facilitate. You will be responsible for researching and working often with outside agencies regarding training opportunities. Lastly, you will help the company integrate their systems and procedures into a Learning Management System. This role report to the Senior Human Resources Manager.

You will need to have the ability to perform at a high level every day and possess a creative thinking mentality.
5+ years experience in a training or people development/coaching role
5+ years experience in working on training programs in a manufacturing environment preferred
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, Education or similar
Strong communication skills, team player, and proven results
Experience in leading projects, establishing timelines, and ensuring on-time completion
This position is located south of Chicago, IL and east of Joliet, IL which puts it close to the Indiana border. This area is a great suburban community with a lower cost of living but still has everything that a major city has to offer by being close to downtown Chicago. Strong local economy with good schools makes this location a great place for a growing family.
