The Composite Materials Group combines 50 years of technology. The Greenville facility produces pre-preg carbon fibers, woven carbon fibers and tapes, glues, and resins.
Reports into the Operations Manager for the whole plant of 450 employees. Lead operations for manufacturing area. Responsible for all aspects of operations, including HSE, in achieving plant metrics, cost control, people engagement and development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Operate department in compliance with HSE and corporate standards and in support of business unit objectives.
You will have have 12 reports; 3 Shift Team Leads (who manage union production operators), Mechanical Engineer, Quality Engineer, Quality Specialist and a few Techs. This is a high visibility operation within the company producing high performance Composite materials used for aerospace applications.
What we are looking for in a Candidate:
Minimum 5-7 years manufacturing leadership experience.
Continuous improvement background, including kaizen leadership and change management. Demonstrated success in achieving improvements and business results.
Demonstrated confidence and decisiveness in a high pressure and highly visible role.
Bachelors of Science, technical background, MBA & knowledge of Six Sigma preferred.
Strong background in Quality initiatives in a manufacturing environment
