This privately held company is a custom injection molder that processes a wide variety of thermoplastic resins for the automotive, office furniture, and consumer industries. The Quality Manager will report directly to the President; they will supervise and support Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians, Metrologists, other personnel positions that may be created, and take the lead on all plant Quality related activities and systems. The Quality Manager is the management representative for ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and IATF 16949:2016.
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The position is responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance:
Implements and trains production staff in the required Automotive Standards.
Works with third party registrars to pass audits to the existing Automotive Standards.
Strong communication skills; is the customers primary contact for Quality issue resolution. Leads “8D” and “5 Why” root cause teams in correcting Quality issues.
Participates in the APQP process for new programs. Works with Engineering in creating and obtaining PSW approvals.
Leads the Management Review process.

Strong analytical skills to be able to analyze complex situations and determine the proper course of action.
Performs well within a team structure to develop action plans and effective strategies.
Demonstrates the ability to lead a team of diverse employees and inspire the commitment to the companies Quality Policies to provide “world class” service to all customers.
Must be able to communicate verbally and mathematically. Perform statistical analysis of data. Read and interpret blueprints. Understand customer specifications as they relate to our products.
Must have excellent computer skills to work with and understand technical software required to perform their duties.
Excellent interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization as well as customers. Must instill confidence in the ability to provide products to customers production plants that exhibit zero defects.
A college degree is preferred but not strictly necessary. Competency in the above areas coupled with training, experience and performance is more critical.
Quality training and competency in Six Sigma, Problem resolution, APQP, gage calibration, SPC, control plans, PFMEA, and corrective action resolution is required.
