Through the Production Supervisors, the incumbent supervises the manufacturing and assembly processes. The Production Manager coordinates the various operations to ensure proper work flow through the plant and is responsible for the quantity and quality of work. The incumbent manages the production schedules, monitors operating costs and ensures employee safety in the manufacture of all products. The incumbent establishes budgets on labor (including indirect) and operating costs for management approval.
  • Meet daily production goals under established safety and quality standards. 
  • Select, train and supervise Production Supervisors and coordinate the activities within the departments on up to three separate shifts. 
  • Plan labor requirements for production schedules; work closely with production control to assure timely changes and efficient use of people and equipment; work with Production Supervisors on departmental scheduling. 
  • Control the manufacturing process according to approved methods and quality standards (properly bonded, free of internal contamination); assure that units are within standard costs. 
  • Mentors the Production Team in 5S to ensure continuing development and use of the 5S principles throughout the facility. 
  • This position has the authority to stop the process at any time in order to investigate a product, process, Environmental or Occupational  Safety and Health Management System or Quality System nonconformance or to prevent suspect product from further processing.  In addition, they are authorized to initiate action to prevent occurrence of nonconformance, identify and record problems, recommend solution to nonconformance found within their control, and to verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Looking  for a Master of KPI's and the ability to move the numbers 
  • Bachelor Degree required.
  • 7+ year’s leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Paint, finishing, plastic, or wood products background highly desired.
