Position:  US Controller - Manufacturer
Location:  New Jersey / Houston
A successful global manufacturing company is recruiting a US Controller.
Company has multiple manufacturing / distribution locations.  The Controller will be expected to spend 3 to 5 months in New Jersey before finally moving to Houston, permanently.
Individual must have experience in supporting manufacturing in the U.S. and working with a CFO in another country.
  • Manage and Report financial operation in the U.S.
  • Oversees all accounting and finance functions of the US region including: budgeting, FP&A, pricing, cash-flow, cost accounting, vendor’s and contract management, contract billings, inventory control and purchasing.
  • Timely reporting of monthly results and analysis according to the group formats.
  • Establish and enforce internal control procedures
  • Identifying cost savings and potential efficiencies in operations
  • Responsible for Financial interfacing with HR.
  • Professional interaction with auditors, banks, lawyers and tax authorities.
  • Support commercial team by preparing and providing product/project costing and other analyses as requested by the management.
  • Managing and training finance team of 3-6.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • CPA – preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience, least 5 as a controller
  • Experiences working in manufacturing environment
  • Experience supervising the general accounting and cost accounting functions.
  • Business understanding, being part of the management team
  • Experience working with IT/ERP systems. (will help decide and implement next system)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills
  • Strong personal initiative, enthusiasm, results orientation and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations skills.
  • Highly motivated individual, exhibits a commitment to achieving the organization's goals and an ability to overcome obstacles in a fast moving and dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interface with all levels within the organization
  • Some travel might be required to visit customers and suppliers in the U.S.
