Your unique role with the company: The Application Development Engineer (ADE) will have accountability for managing current and future development programs and opportunities at key OEM (original equipment manufacturer), Tier I and Tier II customers (system integrators and custom molders). You will develop and manage key customer relationships as well as broadening the number of key customers. You will do this by developing new business opportunities for new polymer products consistent with the business plan. While solving customer problems for company materials that include TPO, TPE, PP, functional additives and more. These materials are used in multiple applications in the Automotive industry including bumpers, body panels, trims, dashboards and other key components. You will interface with new Product Development and Account Managers to ensure customers are making your materials the product of choice.
  • You will be a key member of the North American Automotive Business
Location: Detroit, Michigan  
What we are looking for in a candidate:
  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Plastics Engineering or similar.
  • Strong background in working within Automotive and Plastics industry
  • Exposure and understanding of both Injection Molding & Extrusion processes.
  • Knowledge of PP, TPO, and TPE
  • Experience in Moldflow or CAD a plus
